Hi! I am Joan Brinkley. I am excited to be working in the Dyslexia program, providing reading intervention services to our students, and to work with students in the inclusion program. 
Before coming to Newcastle in 2021, I taught school in Oregon and Texas for
nearly 20 years. I also spent five years as a public librarian in Texas and
Wyoming.
I graduated from Oregon State with a Bachelor of Business Management and
earned my teaching credentials from Portland State University and Western
Oregon State College. I have a Master’s in Library Science from Texas Woman’s
University.
