Hello! I am Melanie Lowe, and I have been teaching for 31 years. I’m excited to be starting my 32nd year at this school. I have always taught at Newcastle School in a primary classroom. I live on a farm in True, Texas with my husband Kenneth, we have three children and two grandchildren.

 I attended Midwestern State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I have received certification in Early Childhood, Elementary, and ESL (English as a Second Language). I’m currently teaching First grade, mostly self contained, but I teach second grade reading while the first grade students are getting mathematics instruction. I am also the ESL coordinator for the school.

I love my job! I especially enjoy working with children. It’s such a blessing to watch them bloom and grow as the begin to understand new concepts and start to flourish academically.
